DAY 1

London – Amsterdam
Greetings from your Travel Director. See the White Cliffs of Dover as you board the ferry and cross to Calais, France. Continue by road through the Belgian and Dutch countryside to Amsterdam, one of Europe’s friendliest cities.

DAY 2

Amsterdam – Cologne – Rhine Cruise – Rhineland
This morning travel through the Dutch countryside before crossing into Germany. Stop to view the spectacular Gothic Cathedral in Cologne before arriving in the picturesque Rhine Valley. Here you embark on a cruise and glide past medieval castles and steeply terraced vineyards which produce the well-known, high-quality Rhine wines. Continue by road to your hotel where you dine tonight.

DAY 3

Rhineland – Colmar – Lucerne Region (2 Nights)
Journey through the vineyards of Alsace and stop in the fairy-tale town of Colmar. We arrive later in the mountains close to lovely Lake Lucerne, your home for the next two nights.

DAY 4

Lucerne Orientation and Free Time
Visit the poignant Lion Monument and the Old Town during your orientation tour of Lucerne. Afterwards, in your free time consider a scenic cruise on the lake, shop for Swiss watches and chocolates or take a cog railway up one of the nearby mountains to enjoy the amazing views.

DAY 5

Lucerne Region – Liechtenstein – Innsbruck
Cross the Swiss border to Liechtenstein for a brief stop in the capital, Vaduz. Continue into Austria via the Arlberg region to Innsbruck, capital of the Tyrol. Marvel at Innsbruck’s sights including the Golden Roof and the Hofburg Palace.

DAY 6

Innsbruck – Verona – Venice (2 Nights)

Venice Orientation and Free Time
Watch the Venetian craftsmen at work creating local specialities at a glassblowing workshop on Giudecca Island. Then spend free time exploring this fascinating city on your own. Cruise by private launch to St. Mark’s Square.

Venice – Rome (2 Nights)
Traverse the flat plains of Veneto and cross the dramatic Apennine hills. Admire splendid scenery as you drive through the rolling Tuscan countryside, arriving later in the capital, Rome.

Rome Sightseeing and Free Time

Florence Sightseeing and Free Time
