Frequently Asked Questions

Is it ok to travel?

The Costsaver 3-step travel wellbeing protocol, defined by an experienced team and endorsed by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) safe travels stamp, gives you the peace of mind to discover the world and enjoy your trip, knowing you are in good hands, where Costsaver has taken care of your wellbeing and the trip’s details.

Where and when can I go?

There are over 70 different tours scheduled through 2022, but travel restrictions and government advise is always being monitored and followed. Trips will only run if it is safe and practical to do so. In the event of a trip not being able to run we will advise you well ahead of time.

If York Road Travel/Costsaver suspend the trip what will happen?

If for any reasons we can not operate the trip, then you will have three options available:

  • Full refund of monies paid to us. This will be with no quibble.
  • We will rearrange the trip to a new date. You will be given the option to rebook onto this new date.
  • Any monies paid can be kept on file for up to 5 years to be used towards any new booking.

What happens if something changes or I change my mind?

This is a big question at the moment and completely understandable. If the trip can not run and the operator must suspend it, then you are entitled to the above.

Up to 90 days prior to a trip you can decide to cancel or change your booking. In the event of cancelling the £100 deposit per person will forfeited, but will be kept on file for five years and able to be used towards a future booking. Once inside 60 days of departure cancellation charges will be as per the terms and conditions, which can be seen HERE.

We do always recommend you have a comprehensive travel insurance in place at time of booking to cover any unforeseen reasons for you not being able to travel.

What happens if the trip is running but a local lookdown stops me from travelling?

This is a difficult question as once inside of 90 days of departure monies will be paid to suppliers to run the trip and therefore costs will occur on any cancelations. However we will work with you to in the first case to amend your trip to a new date or recover as much cost as possible. We will follow the ABTA guidelines on this. We again highly recommend you have travel insurance in place which could cover a situation such as this.

How many other guests will be on my trip?

The Wales Explorer tour will operate with a maximum of 29 guests, on a 52 seater coach. This means a number of empty seats to ensure that we always allow for appropriate extra physical distancing.

In these uncertain times, how do I know if my money is safe?
